Families First of Palm Beach County is bringing the county an event that includes fun activities for children and parents with a fitness, education and safety component for all. Several organizations, including the School District of Palm Beach County, the Palm Healthcare Foundation, the Literacy Coalition of Palm Beach County, and the Florida Department of Health, have joined Families First in this unique event.
Families First Day will be at Roger Dean Stadium in Jupiter on Saturday, April 27. Children 12 and younger are free to the event, and will be able to tour SWAT and hostage negotiator vehicles, a fire-rescue truck, get their face painted and enjoy a baseball game. The Busch Wildlife Sanctuary will be at the event with animals and accepting donations of Dawn liquid soap. There will also be a Zumba class, Tutti Frutti will be giving away samples, and the Drowning Prevention Coalition will be on hand with safety information.
“This is an amazing community event,” said Julie Swindler of Families First. “It’s a great way to focus on children while highlighting what we do.”
Adult tickets are $6 and are available at www.familiesfirstpbc.org.
