The Loxahatchee Groves Landowners’ Association will meet Thursday, April 25 at 7 p.m. at Palms West Presbyterian Church (13689 Okeechobee Blvd., Loxahatchee Groves).
The guest speaker will be Brian Gentry of the Palm Beach County Environmental Resources Management Department, who will give an overview of the county’s role in the protection of surface water bodies such as the Lake Worth Lagoon. He will discuss the county’s surface water quality monitoring program, the national pollutant discharge monitoring permit, the county’s stormwater pollution prevention permit, total maximum daily loads and numerical nutrient criteria for surface waters.
There will be a question-and-answer time after the speaker finishes discussing the topics. This is an open meeting at which residents will get a chance to discuss issues of concern relating to the town.
The meeting is open to the public, but only LGLA members with 2013 paid dues can make motions and vote on them.
