Wellington is now accepting applications for its “SOAR” tuition reimbursement program. The name SOAR stands for Skills, Opportunity, Achievement, Reward, and represents the key focuses of the program.
The program is designed to improve access to education and jobs for low- and moderate-income residents of Wellington by reimbursing up to $1,000 of tuition costs for residents that qualify based on family size and income. Eligible education programs must prepare the student for a career on the Regional Targeted Occupations List.
The SOAR program is fully funded through the United States Department of Housing & Urban Development’s Community Development Block Grant and is administered by the Village of Wellington. For program guidelines, information and the online application form, visit Wellington’s SOAR web site at www.wellingtonfl.gov/community/neighborhood-services/grants/soar.html.
