The Wellington Radio Club took part in National Field Day on Saturday and Sunday, June 22 and 23, at Village Park. Field Day is a national preparedness exercise in emergency communications used during hurricanes, fire, flood or other disasters, and radio clubs across the nation have a friendly rivalry to see who can make the most contacts from around the world in the 24-hour period.
