The School District of Palm Beach County’s Purchasing Department has earned the 18th annual Achievement of Excellence in Procurement (AEP) Award for 2013. The district is one of only 23 in the U.S. to receive the award. It is the sixth consecutive AEP Award for the School District.
The Achievement of Excellence in Procurement Award recognizes organizational excellence in procurement. Public and nonprofit organizations earn the award by obtaining a high application score based on standardized criteria.
The purchasing department is dedicated to providing professional and efficient services and supports the activities of the school district, which includes: education, financial responsibility and community service.
“We have a wonderful team of professionals working in the purchasing department and are proud to be recognized for supporting our schools and departments efficiently,” Director Sharon Swan said.
