Palm Beach County’s Art in Public Places program invites the public to attend a free reception for the “Art at the Airport” exhibit at the Palm Beach International Airport on Wednesday, Sept. 18 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. It is located on Level 2 of the main terminal. Parking is available in short-term levels 4-7.
The current exhibition showcases abstract and figurative paintings, photography, digital and mixed-media works. More than 95 artists submitted their artwork, and 19 were accepted into the show. All featured art was created by artists currently residing in Palm Beach County. Artists will be on hand to meet and discuss their artwork with the public.
Artists include: Tula Antikainen of Atlantis; Michael Rocheford of Boca Raton; Robert Catapano, Bill Rosenberg and Claudio Gelis Staros of Boynton Beach; Karen Rosenblatt and Maria Foladori Weiss of Delray Beach; Margie Agoston of Jupiter; Bonnie D. Bruner and Talia Cervetti of Lake Worth; Karen E. Hightower of North Palm Beach; Mark L. Cohen, Melinda Moore and E.J. Morales of Palm Beach Gardens; Kerby L. Glenn of Riviera Beach; Dani De Maio of Singer Island; and Anthony Burks Sr. and Sandy Friedkin of West Palm Beach.
Voted third best airport in the U.S. and sixth best in the world by Condé Nast, PBIA has become a premier venue to showcase quality, original artworks by Palm Beach County’s finest emerging and professional artists.
The exhibition is on display through Oct. 30.
