The Palm Beach Hindu Mandir will host its fourth annual Diwali celebration “Diwali Yatra 2013: A Journey of Lights” on Saturday, Oct. 26 at the Royal Palm Beach Cultural Center.
Diwali is the Hindu “festival of lights” designed to bring the awareness of inner light. Central to Hindu philosophy is the assertion that there is something beyond the physical body and mind which is pure, infinite and eternal. The holiday marks the “victory of good over evil.”
The organization is anticipating a mixed attendance of multi-ethnic patrons to experience Diwali and to partake in great ethnic foods, refreshments, live entertainment, cultural presentations and a other activities. A cultural display will feature ethnic songs, music, dance and a fun-filled atmosphere of celebratory activities.
