The Oxbridge Academy of the Palm Beaches’ football team celebrated its first-year success with 14 players named to the Gulf Atlantic Football Conference All-Atlantic Division Team.
The special honor comes on the heels of the team’s 8-2 season and win of the inaugural Gulf Atlantic Football Conference Championship.
Representing Oxbridge Academy on the team will be Steven DeMeo, senior quarterback; Tre Gabriel, junior utility player; Deondre Brinson, senior defensive back; Shawn Block, sophomore offensive line; Dori Scwartz, sophomore offensive line; Austin Griffin, sophomore tight end; Travis Homer, sophomore running back; Noah Singer, sophomore placekicker; Nick Buompadre, senior defensive line; Colin Hayek, sophomore linebacker; Kentavious Bell, sophomore linebacker; Mike Beets, sophomore linebacker; Traionn Jones, sophomore defensive back; and Derek McDonald, sophomore defensive utility player.
In addition to being named to the All-Atlantic Division Team, senior Steven DeMeo was named to the Senior All-Academic Team, junior Tre Gabriel was awarded Offensive Player of the Year, and senior Deondre Brinson received Defensive Player of the Year.
