The Wellington Christian School Students With A Purpose (SWAP) Team visited young friends in the after-school program at the First Haitian Baptist Church of Belle Glade on Friday, Dec. 20. Middle and high school students collected toys and Publix donated bakery goods to the special outreach Christmas event. Each year, the SWAP Team votes on what they want to collect at the school, then selects a delivery date that allows for an afternoon of interactive play with the children. According to the church’s leader, Pastor Morales St. Hillaire, the regular visits from the SWAP Team are extremely appreciated and highly anticipated. Making the children happy is an incredible way for WCS students and faculty to make a positive difference in a needy community. Shown here are members of the SWAP Team with the children.
