Corporate Wellness Programs Can Help Employees Thrive

By Donna Marsh

If your business works with the public or any type of customer service, a wellness program can help your employees to be better at what they do. Studies show wellness programs can have a positive effect on the level of job satisfaction of employees.

According to an article on www.healthfitness.com, a recent study done by Aflac Insurance Company shows that people who participate in wellness programs offered by their company are 22 percent more satisfied with their company benefits program, 16 percent more agree strongly that their company is a great place to work and 13 percent more are extremely or very satisfied with their current job, compared to employees who did not participate with a wellness program.

Studies have also shown that the more satisfied employees are with their job and benefits offered by employers, the better the customer service they provide. At Ultima Fitness, we believe that outstanding customer service means doing the right thing at the right time for the right person to create the best possible outcome for everyone. We know this starts with us and the culture we create within our company for our employees. We strive to create a positive culture within our business at Ultima Fitness, because we truly understand that happy, healthy employees mean happy members and guests in our club. When we feel good, it’s easy to be nice, show support and a willingness to go above and beyond.

So, what can your company do? First, you can establish a culture of health and wellness within your organization. Getting employees to buy into the idea of living healthier, more positive and productive lives is the first step. You can do this by creating a mission statement that focuses on customer service and ties in a culture of health and wellness.

The second step is to create an atmosphere and environment that is conducive to the new healthier culture you wish to nurture. The possibilities are endless, and every business will be different. Ultima Fitness can help you do that with our Corporate Wellness Program. The program is free to your organization and provides you with all the resources you and your employees need to make your wellness program a success.
