The New Horizons Elementary School Flamenco Dance Troupe, under the direction of parent volunteer Maria Matute and teacher sponsors Erin Santiago and Betty Baez, competed in the Palm Beach County Dual Language Competition held at Okeeheelee Middle School. Students from dual language programs participated in events, including dictation, declamation, spelling and an artistic program. The New Horizons Flamenco Dance Troupe won first place for the artistic program portion of the competition.
