The Wellington Wrestling Club hosted the Wellington Open earlier this month and the local team had some outstanding results. The tournament brought in 214 wrestlers from around the state and had competition for grades K through 12.
The Wellington Warriors K-8 team earned the championship in the youth division, and the high school team won the second-place trophy.
