Western Academy Charter School in Royal Palm Beach participated in the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office Unified Food Drive. The school collected non-perishable foods and spare change during the November drive.
“We had fantastic support from our school families and were able to donate 1,361 items, as well as seven $100 Publix gift cards to the PBSO,” Principal Linda Terranova said. “This is a perfect time to teach our students about giving back to their community and especially to those in need. I am very proud of our students and what they are doing for our community.”
For the fifth consecutive year, the PBSO has partnered with many local schools on the food drive. Western Academy was one of many schools that collected food over a one-month period.
