An informal meeting to kick off the Acreage Community Garden at the Hamlin House will take place Tuesday, Sept. 16 at 6:30 p.m.
Anyone interested in learning to work a garden plot with neighbors should plan on attending. Dr. John Zahina-Ramos of Casa Jardin will be there to offer guidance and direction in getting the project started. The initial meeting will be to gauge public interest and outline the plan to move the project forward.
Ramos is a renowned ecological, environmental and sustainable urban agriculture consultant. He can answer all questions related to gardening and maximizing yield in an ecologically sound manner.
