The Palm Beach County Cooperative Extension Service Division of Family & Consumer Sciences has received a grant for $82,000, renewable every year for five years, to be used for the Strengthening Marriages and Relationships Training (SMART) Florida Project.
The SMART Florida project will be implemented in Santa Rosa, Duval, Manatee, Citrus and Palm Beach counties. A broad array of SMART and community partner programs, services and resources will be provided in different locations of Palm Beach County. The programs address social, emotional and economic stability needs and the well-being of low-income individuals, couples and at-risk youth.
For the duration of the grant, Cooperative Extension agents and community partners will provide education to strengthen marriages, relationships and families among residents across ethnicities and income levels in the county. For more information about the SMART project, contact Maisie Ross, mross@pbcgov.org or (561) 233-1744.
