Summer time is pool time, but before jumping in, know how to stay safe. The Wellington Aquatics Complex (12072 W. Forest Hill Blvd.) will host “Make a SPLASH” (Safety and Prevention Leaves All Swimmers Happy) on Saturday, June 4 from 9 a.m. to noon. This event is free to the public.
Pediatric residents from Palms West Hospital and first responders from Palm Beach County Fire-Rescue will be on-hand to discuss water safety. Wellington lifeguards, along with PBCFR personnel, will demonstrate a near-drowning scenario. Vendors will be on site to discuss the importance of safety in and around the water.
