This fall, Simon Property Group Inc. is bringing high-energy runway shows to shoppers across the nation with Simon Fashion Now. This free, dynamic celebration of style will make a stop Friday and Saturday, Sept. 28 and 29 at Town Center at Boca Raton.
Spotlighting must-have trends for fall from fashionable Town Center at Boca Raton retailers, Simon Fashion Now presented by Braman Motorcars of Palm Beach is bringing the drama and excitement of runway shows to stylish shoppers in South Florida.
Unlike the fashion industry shows that preview styles unavailable for several months, Simon Fashion Now makes the hottest men and women’s fashions of the season accessible; every look from the runway can be immediately found at retailers within the mall.
“Simon Fashion Now allows us to interpret fall’s newest trends and create looks that are immediately accessible to our shoppers,” said Jacqué Ellis, vice president of corporate special events at Simon. “Providing instant gratification for our shoppers makes the Simon Fashion Now concept unique.”
On Friday, Sept. 28, Simon Fashion Now at Town Center at Boca Raton kicks off with a reception honoring Boca Raton Regional Hospital’s “Partners in Pink” community effort. This is an invitation-only event that will be immediately followed by a show-stopping presentation of fall’s hottest looks from Bloomingdale’s, Neiman Marcus, Anne Fontaine, Brooks Brothers, CH Carolina Herrera, Charles David, Custo Barcelona, Elie Tahari and Porsche Design on the Simon Fashion Now runway at 7:30 p.m. Attendees can expect to see an abundance of styles for men and women ranging from casual weekend wear and stylish outfits for the office, to show-stopping looks for a night on the town. The public may view the runway show from the area surrounding center court.
“The Simon Fashion Now tour allows our mall to become the source for the season’s most popular trends,” said Ellen Korelitz, director of marketing at Town Center at Boca Raton. “We are thrilled to welcome the Boca Raton Regional Hospital’s ‘Partners in Pink’ once again this year and look forward to an evening of fashion, cocktails, bites and exclusive deals.”
Simon Fashion Now presented by Braman Motorcars of Palm Beach continues on Saturday, Sept. 29, with fabulous runway fashion shows throughout the day, ongoing mall-wide Style Stops, swag bags, runway giveaways, Design Wars and Ready, Set, Style.
Design Wars is an interactive fashion design competition featuring student teams from the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale. The public is invited to watch the competition and cheer the students on as they debut and discuss the fabulous looks they create, inspired from vendors in the new Cafés at Boca. Shoppers won’t want to miss the delicious debut of the first-ever Simon Fashion Now Design Wars to use food as part of the competition. Each team will bring their look to Center Court to begin styling, and finished looks will be judged and presented on the runway. Following the runway show, the looks will be showcased at the Cafés at Boca and winning Judges Choice and Fan Favorite teams will each receive a $250 American Express Simon Giftcard.
Following the Design Wars challenge, runway shows will take place every hour from 1 to 4 p.m. featuring accessible fall looks from Town Center at Boca Raton retailers as well as the gentlemen of the 2013 South Florida Firefighters calendar, who will be heating up the runway as special guest models. Guests also won’t want to miss a fabulous accessory show happening at 1:30 p.m.
Additionally, shoppers are invited to experience Style Stops featuring Neiman Marcus, American Apparel, Auntie Anne’s, Banana Republic, Bare Escentuals, Bose, Campo Marzio Design, Clio, Godiva Chocolatier, Lilly Pulitzer, Aveda and Origins, Skechers, SOHO, Sweets from Heaven, the Body Shop and Vitamin World. Style Stops offer interactive demonstrations of fall beauty and style trends, are complimentary and available from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
