New Horizons Thanks Volunteer Melanie Stepp

Principal Betsy Cardozo thanks Melanie Stepp.

New Horizons Elementary School recently recognized Melanie Stepp as August and September’s Volunteer of the Month.

Parents at New Horizons volunteer their time throughout the school year to support teachers and students, as well as to assist with school-wide events. Stepp has been part of the New Horizons family for five years. Her daughter, Kathryn, is now a freshman in high school. Her son, William, graduated fifth grade at New Horizons last June, and her son, James, is currently in third grade.

Stepp can be found at most school events with her camera hanging from her neck or behind the lens. Her photography skills are put to good use in support of the school’s yearbook, and Stepp also assists with activities such as science clubs, the math and science fair, and running club and Reading Counts ceremonies.

Stepp is an all-around wonderful volunteer at New Horizons.
