Summertime is pool time, but before jumping in, know how to stay safe. The Wellington Aquatics Complex (12072 W. Forest Hill Blvd.) will host “Make a SPLASH” (Safety and Prevention Leaves All Swimmers Happy) on Saturday, June 2 from 9 a.m. to noon. The event is free to the public.
Pediatric residents from Palms West Hospital and first responders from Palm Beach County Fire Rescue will be on hand to discuss water safety issues. Wellington lifeguards, along with PBCFR personnel, will also demonstrate a near-drowning scenario. Multiple vendors will be on site to discuss the importance of safety in and around the water.
