Wellington High School will hold its New Student Orientation on Wednesday, Aug. 8 with presentations at 9 a.m. or 5:30 p.m.
The New Student Orientation is presented for all incoming ninth-graders, newly registered students to Wellington High School and their parents. The day will be divided into two parts, starting in the theater, with presentations about policies, procedures, dress code and important first day information.
At the conclusion of the theater presentation, people will be directed to the courtyard for the second part of the program. This will include campus tour guides assisting students and parents, and activity displays with different information tables.
In order to better accommodate busy schedules and large numbers of incoming students, there will be two presentations. The first presentation will start at 9 a.m. for those able to come early, with the second at 5:30 p.m. Outside entertainment by the Mighty Wolverine Sound, the cheerleaders and the dance team will be at 5 p.m. in the courtyard.
A program will be handed out upon entering the theater. While on the campus tour in the courtyard, activities and performing groups will be available to provide important information.
