The Wellington Parks & Recreation Department was proud to again receive recognition from the Florida Festivals & Events Association (FFEA) for its work in event marketing and promotion. Winners were announced during the Florida Festivals & Events Association 24th annual convention and trade show held in Bonita Springs. The program recognizes members’ innovation, individuality and creative collaboration.
Nominations were accepted in nine categories. A total of 140 events submitted materials for consideration. Nominations were judged by a blue-ribbon panel representing media outlets, printing companies, web site designers, photographers, promotional marketing professionals and social media experts.
Wellington brought home four awards in the following categories: first place in the PR Campaign category for the Lakeside Family Fun Event Series, first place in the Program/Brochure category for the Summer Parks & Recreation Program Guide, first place in the Tickets and Invitations category for the Father Daughter Dance and second place in the Promotional Poster category for the Father Daughter Dance.
Wellington and the Bacon & Bourbon Fest were also recognized for their event partnership, with the Wellington Bacon & Bourbon Fest receiving awards in the following categories: first place Facebook page, first place outdoor banner and second place web site.
