The Royal Palm Bassmasters held its August fishing tournament on Lake Okeechobee out of the Clewiston boat ramp.
First place was won by Kiel Carr with five fish weighing 13.64 pounds.
Second place was awarded to the team of Dennis Veclotch and Chris Schultz with five fish weighing 13.36 pounds.
The team of Phil Northrop and Russ Clothier took third place with five fish weighing 9.44 pounds.
The big fish of the tournament was 5.60 pounds, caught by Kiel Carr.
The Royal Palm Bassmasters meet on the second Thursday of each month at 7 p.m. at the Royal Palm Beach Recreation Center. The club is now accepting applications for new teams and alternates. Come and check out the fun you’ve been missing.
