Wellington Landings Middle School prevailed in the Palm Beach County Academic Games Middle School Equations Division this year.
The season ended with the team in first place. Wellington Landings earned 196 points, beating out the Bak Middle School of the Arts and Polo Park Middle School for first place. Additionally, the top three individual standings in the county went to Wellington Landings students.
In individual standings, Jesse Brodtman came in first in the county, while Luke Carey took second and Raghav Venkat placed third. Wellington Landings student Tobias Smith ranked fifth. All four of these students will represent Palm Beach County at the National Academic Games Tournament in Orlando in April. Ava Grave De Peralta finished in eighth place in the county and will join the other four at the Florida Academic Games Tournament in March.
Taha Khan, Aarav Bejjinki and Anden Toale also had strong scores during the season. Team members Tyler Brodnicki, Ajani James, Sophia Amro Gazze, Lara Tunca and Vigneshwaran Sundararajan also contributed to the team’s success. Playing in the Elementary Division were Daniel Robbert, Jack Moreland, Olivia Winton and Kelli Martin.
