The Friends of the Arthur R. Marshall Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge recently held its ninth annual Juried Art Contest.
A total of 32 local artists created 47 Everglades-themed works of art that are now on display and available for sale at the Arthur R. Marshall Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center. The exhibit will remain on display at the refuge theater until Jan. 11.
Judge Isidro Pentzke, a teacher of fine arts at Wellington High School, went through the difficult process of selecting the winners.
The refuge is located at 10216 Lee Road in Boynton Beach off State Road 7. Learn more at www.loxahatcheefriends.com or call (561) 734-8303.
