The Women of the Western Communities gathered on Thursday, Oct. 3 at the Wellington National Golf Club. Dr. Kathleen Spears, new CEO of the local YWCA, was the guest speaker. She discussed the services available for abused women and children through Harmony House. The next meeting on Nov. 7 will accept food donations for Thanksgiving baskets.
