On Saturday, Jan. 25, the Palm Beach Zoo & Conservation Society will celebrate Chinese New Year and the incoming Year of the Rat during Dragonfest.
Gates open at 9 a.m. and each zoo guest will receive a fortune cookie with a custom fortune for a free carousel ride, $5 off return admission and more.
Events are planned throughout the day and include a DJ playing family-friendly music in the Fountain Plaza, crafts and a special presentation by the John Wai martial arts studio. The martial arts students will perform traditional Chinese dragon and lion dances at 1:30 p.m., followed by a martial arts presentation.
