The Village of Wellington celebrated its 2022 SWAG program graduates with a ceremony on Tuesday, Aug. 2. The village’s SWAG, or Students Working to Achieve Greatness, program is a mentoring and internship program for students from Palm Beach Central and Wellington high schools. There were 20 SWAG students this year, and they interned at a number of work locations across the community this summer. The goal of the program is to prepare and empower at-risk and underserved high school students by providing personal and professional development opportunities. The year-round program helps these students overcome the social and economic barriers that impact their quality of life.
