Communities To Host Observances This Veterans Day

Local communities will be hosting Veterans Day observances, honoring all those who served the nation in the U.S. Armed Forces.

WELLINGTON

Wellington and American Legion Post 390 will honor all current and former members of the armed forces at Wellington’s annual Veterans Day Parade & Ceremony on Saturday, Nov. 11 at the Wellington Veterans Memorial.

Veterans are invited to walk in the parade beginning at 8:15 a.m. at Wellington Village Hall (12300 W. Forest Hill Blvd.).

The parade ends at the Wellington Veterans Memorial, located on the corner of Forest Hill and South Shore boulevards, and will be followed at 8:30 a.m. by a ceremony with remarks by local leaders and the placement of memorial wreaths.

ROYAL PALM BEACH

The Village of Royal Palm Beach, the American Legion Department of Florida Southern Area Post 367 and the Unit 367 Auxiliary will present a Veterans Day Observance on Saturday, Nov. 11 at the Royal Palm Beach Cultural Center. Breakfast will be served at 9 a.m. The ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. with military guest speakers and a performance by the Royal Palm Beach Community Band. RSVP by Nov. 6 by calling (561) 790-5196.

LOXAHATCHEE GROVES

The Town of Loxahatchee Groves will hold its annual Veterans Day Parade & Ceremony on Sunday, Nov. 12 from 9 to 11 a.m. The community is invited to participate in this event. For more information, call the Town Clerk’s Office at (561) 793-2418.
