The Acreage Pines Natural Area Boardwalk was dedicated to the late Michelle Gurlides Damone on Friday, April 5. Damone served on the Indian Trail Improvement District Board of Supervisors for more than 14 years and was instrumental in bringing the park to the western communities. The dedication was officiated by Palm Beach County Mayor Maria Sachs, for whom Damone served as her chief of staff. ITID officials, community leaders, friends and family gathered to pay homage to Damone, who passed away last year. Damone will be remembered as a passionate park advocate and influential leader who helped shape the future of The Acreage.
