The Call On Me (COM) Foundation will host “The Murph” Memorial Day Weekend event on Monday, May 27 at 8 a.m. at Okeeheelee Park, located at 7715 Forest Hill Blvd. The event will start at the Micanopy Pavilion.
“The Murph” includes a one-mile run, 100 pull-ups, 200 push-ups, 300 body weight squats and a one-mile run.
The event is for ages 10 and up. Standard registration is $65. Free parking is available within close proximity to the pavilion.
The event will benefit the COM Foundation’s mission to raise money to provide short-term financial relief to families of veterans who have lost their lives unexpectedly. The tax-exempt charitable organization also works to unite veterans and their community, and to share information about treatment options for struggling veterans.
