The City of Westlake will host its second annual 5K Run/Walk & Carnival Games on Saturday, Jan. 25, a much-anticipated event bringing the community together for fitness, fun and family-friendly activities while supporting local schools.
To ensure the safety of participants and spectators, temporary road closures will be in effect from 6 to 10 a.m. on the day of the event.
Road closures include: Kingfisher Blvd.; Town Center Parkway South at Kingfisher Blvd.; Town Center Parkway South at Ilex Way; Persimmon Blvd. from Sky Entrance to the entrance to the Grove Market Place; the Terraces at Westlake Entry on Ilex Way; the Sky Cover South entrance to Ilex Way; and the Groves at Westlake to Ilex Way.
Event activities will take place near Kingfisher Blvd., across from the Lodge at Westlake Adventure Park (5490 Kingfisher Blvd.), and the race will begin promptly at 8 a.m. On-site registration opens at 6:45 a.m., with the carnival games starting at 8:15 a.m. for registered and bibbed participants.
