Students Looking For Host Homes

Palm Beach County families can learn more about another culture by hosting an academic year exchange student through the exchange student programs Cultural Academic Student Exchange (CASE). The program is currently looking for host homes for several high school–age exchange students due to arrive right before school starts in August.

“Families are offered the opportunity of building friendships that last a lifetime,” said Maribel Carrera, the local representative for CASE. “We have a boy from Sweden and a girl from Italy who would love to experience the winter sunshine in Florida.

CASE has exchange students from Europe, South America and Asia just waiting to hear that an American family will host them during their exchange stay. Families with or without children are invited to offer their hospitality and are allowed to select the student who will live with them. The student will attend the nearest public school to the host family, and each student has his or her own spending money and medical insurance. Hosts provide room, board and guidance.

CASE would like to identify host families by Aug. 1, to allow time to begin corresponding with the student before his or her arrival. For more information, call CASE at (877) 417-9675 or visit the CASE web site at www.case-usa.org.
