A pair of Wellington High School graduates, Chad Endres and Lucas Riebe, have helped the Catawba College football team to a 2-0 start to the season. Endres is a senior safety, while Riebe is a red-shirt freshman linebacker.
Endres had an interception and two pass break-ups in an opening 24-3 win at West Liberty. Riebe also had an interception in that opening win and added a team-high nine tackles in a 49-17 win over Livingstone.
Catawba College, located in Salisbury, N.C., is a private, NCAA II institution that competes in the South Atlantic Conference.
