Thieves Take $15,000 In Jewelry From RPB Home

JAN. 22 — A resident of La Mancha called the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office substation in Royal Palm Beach on Tuesday afternoon to report a burglary. According to a PBSO report, sometime between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., someone pried open the victim’s rear sliding glass door and entered the home. Once inside, the perpetrator(s) removed approximately $15,000 in custom jewelry, including several pearl and gold necklaces and bracelets. DNA evidence was taken at the scene, but there were no suspects or witnesses at the time of the report.

JAN. 16 — A deputy from the PBSO substation in Royal Palm Beach was dispatched to a home on Crestwood Circle last Wednesday morning regarding a vehicle burglary. According to a PBSO report, sometime between 7 p.m. last Tuesday and 6 a.m. the following morning, someone entered the victim’s unlocked vehicle and removed her car stereo, a wallet containing $250 cash, a credit card and the victim’s driver’s license. There were no suspects or witnesses at the time of the report.

JAN. 16 — A resident of 68th Street North called the PBSO’s Acreage/Loxahatchee substation last Wednesday morning to report a theft. According to a PBSO report, the complainant’s son parked his gray mountain bike on the front porch on Friday, Jan. 11, around 9 a.m. At approximately 8:30 a.m. last Wednesday, the family discovered that the bike was missing. The complainant said his son usually parks the bike on the front porch unsecured but did not know who would have taken the bike. The stolen bike was valued at approximately $460. There were no suspects or witnesses at the time of the report.

JAN. 18 — A deputy from the PBSO substation in Royal Palm Beach responded last Friday to a home on Oleander Drive regarding a burglary. According to a PBSO report, sometime between 7 and 10:30 a.m., someone entered the home and stole an iPad 2, a 45-inch LG television, a Dell laptop computer, a cell phone and a Ninendo Wii, along with the victim’s driver’s license and Social Security card. According to the report, the perpetrator(s) used a screwdriver to break the lock on the south sliding glass door of the home. The stolen items were valued at approximately $2,880. There were no suspects or witnesses at the time of the report.

JAN. 21 — A deputy from the PBSO substation in Wellington responded to a home in Sugar Pond Manor on Monday morning regarding an incident of vandalism. According to a PBSO report, sometime between Saturday, Dec. 15 and Thursday, Jan. 3, someone punctured all four tires of the victim’s Jeep Grand Cherokee and scratched profanity onto the driver’s door and rear passenger door. According to the report, the victim was out of town and arrived home last Sunday to discover the damage. A neighbor said he noticed the flat tires around Thursday, Jan. 3. According to the report, the neighbor noted that around Tuesday, Jan. 1, someone egged her home and stole a grille. The damage caused to the victim’s vehicle was approximately $2,400. There were no suspects at the time of the report.

JAN. 21 — A Wellington resident contacted the PBSO substation in Wellington Monday morning to report a theft. According to a PBSO report, the victim was at a coffee shop on Forest Hill Blvd. at approximately 10:25 a.m. when someone stole her designer wallet from her purse. The wallet was described as a two-fold beige Khloe wallet valued at approximately $1,200. Inside was the victim’s bank card, gift cards, $20 cash and the victim’s state identification. There was no further information available at the time of the report.

JAN. 22 — A deputy from the PBSO substation in Wellington was dispatched Tuesday to a construction site in Oakmont Estates regarding a burglary. According to a PBSO report, sometime between 6 p.m. last Thursday and 8 a.m. Tuesday, someone entered the home, which is currently under construction, and stole five uninstalled kitchen cabinets. The complainant said that the home did not yet have locks on it, so there was no forced entry. The stolen cabinets were valued at approximately $2,000. There were no suspects or witnesses at the time of the report.
