RPB Relay For Life To Honor Survivors

Cancer survivors and patients in treatment are invited to the American Cancer Society’s Royal Palm Beach Relay for Life Saturday, April 6 at the Royal Palm Beach High School athletic track. Survivor/patient on-site registration begins at 2 p.m., and the relay begins at 3 p.m.

“Survivors and current cancer patients are our special guests at relay,” Event Chair Rob Hill said. “We give them shirts so everyone there can recognize and celebrate them; we honor them onstage during opening ceremonies; we ask them to lead off the relay by taking the first lap while everyone cheers their success and progress; and we treat them and their families to a delicious dinner provided by Royal Palm Beach Relay’s very generous restaurant sponsor, MarBar Grille from Madison Green Golf Club.”

Survivors and current cancer patients are asked to register in advance so there are enough shirts and food. To register, visit www.relayforlife.org/royalpalm beachfl and click on “Sign Up” and select “Walk the Survivor Lap.”
