Leadership Palm Beach County recently announced the five finalists for the 2013 Leadership Excellence Award at a breakfast featuring past presidents of the organization.
Since 2004, the Leadership Excellence Award has recognized one individual in Palm Beach County who has made a significant contribution to improve the community and who possesses the leadership qualities of integrity, compassion, credibility, passion, risk-taking, fairness, empowerment and humility.
This year’s finalists are Vincent Bonvento, assistant county administrator for Palm Beach County; Dari Bowman, charitable activist; Barbara I. Cheives, president of Converge & Associates Consulting; Patrick J. McNamara, president and CEO of the Community Partnership Group; and Joseph B. “Jay” Shearouse III, president and CEO of First Bank of the Palm Beaches.
Other nominees will also be recognized: Kathy Adams, Nonprofits First; Kristen Calder, Bethesda Hospital Foundation; Patricia Fitzgerald, Illustrated Properties; Jack Lansing, Lansing Hutcheon Wealth Management; Shannon LaRocque, Palm Beach County; Beverlee Miller Raymond, Extraordinary Charities; and Terrill C. Pyburn, Esq., City of Delray Beach.
Finalists will be honored at the Leadership Excellence Award dinner on April 18 at the Marriott West Palm Beach. Finalists are nominated by Leadership Palm Beach County alumni as well as current class members.
