The Wellington Chamber of Commerce celebrated 10 years of Flavors of Wellington on Friday, April 5 at the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center. Guests enjoyed sampling from Wellington restaurants while enjoying music and entertainment. The award for Best Décor went to the Breakers West. Best Plate went to “The Cookin’ Yogi,” Sherri Mraz. Best Entrée was awarded to Carrabba’s Italian Grill, and Best Dessert went to Johnson’s Custom Cakes.
Flavors of Wellington (aka Taste of Wellington) was a great success. It reminded me of when Stadium Jumping and Gene Mische hosted the Event. We have wonderful memories of the Showgrounds. Unfortunately, the charm and elegance and grass are gone….I guess they say that’s progress.
The let down of the event was the Judges. Can’t we give Piore and Gerwig a rest?
