The Chief Tiger Tail Society Children of the American Revolution attended the 82nd annual state conference of the Florida Society of the Children of the American Revolution held March 22 through March 24 in Kissimmee. The Chief Tiger Tail Society won over a dozen awards, including the State Merit Award.
This year’s state theme was “Rolling with the Brave.” Members of the Florida Society raised over $15,000 for the National Veterans Games, which will be held in Tampa this year. Outgoing President Kaitlin Matyskiel presented the check during the awards banquet. The event was attended by members from around the state and outside Florida, as well as members of the Sons of the American Revolution and the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Members of the Chief Tiger Tail Society ran for state office and won. Samantha Mouring was elected first vice president, Talia Fradkin was elected Florida state recording secretary and Ariana Mouring was chosen organizing secretary. Caitlin Brock, newly elected Florida state president, introduced her project to save marine life.
The girls were presented and installed on Saturday, March 23. Following the Grand March, a members dance was held in the grand ballroom.
