Local residents now have more choices when it comes to fulfilling their postal needs with the opening of a new contract postal unit (CPU) at the Shell gas station, located at 12000 South Shore Blvd. in Wellington.
Shell manager Neil Looknanan was joined by United States Post Office officials and Wellington Mayor Bob Margolis to dedicate the new facility in a recent-ribbon cutting ceremony.
The Shell CPU offers postal customers an additional option to access postal products and services, and is a quick, easy and convenient alternative to larger postal facilities for mailing needs.
The Shell CPU provides a full range of postal services at post office prices, with the exception of post office boxes and postal money orders.
At the dedication ceremony, Looknanan explained how happy Shell employees are to provide this convenient service for residents. “We are here to serve you and are excited about the prospect of serving our customers with their postal needs,” he said.
The Shell CPU is open from 8:30 a.m. until 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, and from 8:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturday.
Contract postal units are located inside a retail establishment and managed by the retailer’s employees. To find other postal outlets near you, call (800) ASK-USPS or visit www.usps.com.
