Brian Fowler, a seventh-grader at Wellington Landings Middle School, has been admitted to the Duke University Talent Identification Program (TIP),which identifies academically talented students based on ACT or SAT test scores.
The top 5 percent of over 70,000 seventh-graders taking the ACT or SAT are eligible to participate in the TIP Academy for Summer Studies. Fowler is among the very highest scorers eligible to participate. Of the 7,011 students admitted to TIP this year from Florida, Fowler is among the 2,419 who are eligible to participate in a state recognition ceremony to be held this month.
