The second annual Countdown 2 Zero Pet Adoption Event was held Saturday, Sept. 12 at the Palm Beach Convention Center. The event was hosted by Palm Beach County Animal Care & Control and the Peggy Adams Animal Rescue League, presented by the Lois Pope Life Foundation. Approximately 30 animal rescue and adoption organizations brought dogs, cats and even a few bunnies, guinea pigs and birds available for adoption. Preliminary reports are that 280 animals were adopted.
