The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office collected 18,000 food items and 612 donated turkeys during its unified food drive held Nov. 1-22 with help from Royal Palm Beach schools and residents. First Baptist Church of Royal Palm Beach sorted and bagged 612 Thanksgiving meals. The extra food collected will go to area food pantries. Turkeys were collected Saturday, Nov. 21 at the Publix store on Royal Palm Beach Blvd. and other locations.
