The Wellington Elementary School Chorus Club, under the direction of music teacher and chorus director Dave Morrison, performed its holiday show “Snow Biz” on Tuesday, Dec. 15.
“Snow Biz” consisted of various winter skits. Dignitaries were in the standing-room-only audience, including Wellington Mayor Bob and Linda Margolis and Palm Beach County School Board Member Marcia Andrews, who was so impressed she came back on Thursday, Dec. 17 to watch it again and spoke about it at a board meeting.
There was amazing acting and singing, along with vibrant stage settings. The club worked very hard, meeting two to four times a week, rehearsing the holiday production. It took hard work, dedication and commitment by the third, fourth and fifth graders to make the production a great success.
The 100-member chorus repeated the show on the evening of Thursday, Dec. 17, as well as on Friday, Dec. 18 so the entire school could see it.
The club will begin meeting again at the end of January to work on different songs for various events and concerts, as well as a spring show.
Wellington Elementary School is looking forward to presenting more shows as a Fine Arts Academy next school year.
