Wellington native Petty Officer 1st Class Andrew McCauley, a recruiter assigned to Navy Recruiting Station Killeen, Navy Recruiting District San Antonio, was recognized as the Senior Sailor of the Year for the NRD during an awards banquet held at the Hilton Garden Inn-Live Oak. McCauley is a 2004 graduate of Wellington High School and joined the U.S. Navy in 2004 as a steel worker. Additionally, he was awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal and a presentation coin from the USAA. (L-R) Cmdr.
