Palm Beach County schools will be closed on Tuesday, Aug. 28 after the Palm Beach County School Board approved a revision to the school calendar. Tuesday, Aug. 28 is primary election day in Florida, and many schools are used as polling places. The school board proposed the change following discussions with Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections Susan Bucher.
Students will not have classes on Aug. 28, but the day will be a Professional Development Day for teachers and a regular work day for all other district employees. For more information, visit www.palmbeachschools.org.
