On Thursday, Nov. 15th, the Neil S. Hirsch Family Boys & Girls Club in Wellington hosted an early Thanksgiving dinner for the kids in attendance.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office Grill Team was on hand to cook a dinner of turkey, ham, mashed potatoes with gravy, corn and string beans for 350 kids.
The event was co-chaired by Julie Kime and Nicole Hessen. “This is our fourth year doing this,” said Hessen, who was dressed up for the holiday. “It’s a really fun time.”
The event ended with club benefactor Neil Hirsch donating turkeys for the club member families.
