The Countdown 2 Zero Pet Adoption Event, presented by the Lois Pope Life Foundation, took place on Saturday, Sept. 28 at the South Florida Fairgrounds Expo Center. There were dogs, cats, ferrets, chickens, bunnies and more available for adoption. Vendors gave out information on pet-related services, and 187 pet adoptions took place.
