On Sunday, Nov. 10, Oasis Church held a shoebox packing party for Operation Christmas Child (OCC), a ministry of Samaritan’s Purse. Small gifts for children ages 2 to 14 were piled high on tables for the congregation to select and fill a shoebox.
All shoeboxes will eventually be distributed by Samaritan’s Purse to needy children around the world, most of whom have never received a Christmas gift, let alone a box full of them.
If you would like to pack a shoebox, pick one up at the church and return it during OCC Shoebox Collection Week, Nov. 18-25.
