Three Dead In Shooting At Publix In Royal Palm Beach

According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, detectives are investigating a shooting that took place inside the Publix store in the Crossroads Plaza at 1180 Royal Palm Beach Blvd. in Royal Palm Beach.

According to the PBSO, it is not an active shooter situation.

Deputies responded at 11:39 a.m. to a shooting inside the Publix store. Upon arrival, deputies located three individuals deceased from gunshot wounds, including one adult male, one adult female and one child. The shooter is one of the deceased.

Detectives from the Violent Crimes Division are currently on scene investigating the shooting. They are in the beginning stages of determining what led up to the shooting.

More information will be released when it becomes available.

UPDATE, 8:30 p.m. — The family has invoked Marsy’s Law, therefore, the names of the victims, a 1-year-old boy and his grandmother, will not be released.

The suspected gunman has been identified as Timothy J. Wall, age 55, of Royal Palm Beach.

There is NO known motive or relationship between the gunman and the victims, but detectives are still investigating.  

The Publix store will be closed until Saturday. All personal items left behind have been safely bagged. To collect personal items, a PBSO deputy will be in front of Publix on Friday, June 11, between 9 a.m. and noon.
