On Thursday, Oct. 28, officials from the Village of Royal Palm Beach took part in Read for the Record, a program organized locally by the Literacy Coalition of Palm Beach County. Community leaders across the county read the book Amy Wu and the Patchwork Dragon to thousands of students on the same day. Among several local officials taking part was Royal Palm Beach Councilman Jeff Hmara, who read to children at Royal Palm Beach Elementary School.
